London’s Southbank Centre’s Women of the World (WOW) Festival returns with a ceiling-smashing programme of performance, dance, comedy and cabaret. Marking International Women’s Day on Sunday 8 March, highlights of the week-long celebration, which launches a week earlier on 1 March, include No Guts, No Heart, No Glory, the critically acclaimed work by Common Wealth, which “challenges the preconceptions of being young, female, Muslim and from Bradford. Based on real-life interviews with young female boxers, the production obliterates convention and provides a stage for young women to speak out.”
