With breathtaking set design, exceptional puppetry, animation and beautiful music, a forthcoming run of Way Back Home promises to bring Oliver Jeffer’s beloved book to life with operatic gusto. Reimagining the intergalactic tale of a young boy befriended by a martian on the moon, on stage, the show runs from 11 to 23 December at the Young Vic Theatre in London. The latest collaboration between the Young Vic and the English National Opera (with oodles of well-known names attached to the project on every side), this promises to be a delight.

Suitable for children aged 5 to 8. For tickets – £15 for adults, £10 for children – visit youngvic.org
