Goatmilk NYC
Goatmilk NYC is the baby of Roland Bello and Tania Vargas, who make super-cool basics for kids and infants. Roland and Tania met while working in advertising, and their design sensibilities shine through in their wares, which are inspired by “the quality and aesthetic of Spanish underwear which Tania remembers from her childhood”. Officially, their thermal wares are to be worn as undergarments, but with their incredibly soft material and comfortable cut, they are perfect for bed-time too.
This set is $35 and $36;

Launched by a couple of London-based friends, Aneesa and Yuva, Moochicbaby combines soft materials and playful, bold design. According to their blurb, “each item is crafted in India using a centuries old craft called hand block printing”. key pieces include seahorses, dolphins and turtles (as pictured). Available in two-pieces for older children, and onesies for babies. £24.99;

They make sleepwear for all the family but Hatley really hit the mark with their repetitive animal prints for kids. From rabbits to dogs, bears, frogs and butterflies, their style is distinct and appealing. Forget fiddly buttons. Their zip-up sleep suits for babies are very cute, and their two-piece, long-sleeve PJs for 2-12 year olds are the perfectly pretty and practical, too.

Turtle Dove
Based in Paris, Turtle Dove takes an “innovative and practical” approach to sleepwear. Created in sizes from birth to four years, the brand’s signature product, the SurPyjama, is touted as a stylish and practical alternative to sleeping bags and duvets. Worn over pyjamas or babygrows, so the idea goes, “the SurPyjama is ideal for babies and children who are then free to move around but remain comfortably covered during their slumber”.  The fleece aspect of the fabric is made at an environmentally-conscious mill in France, with patterned additions made exclusively from cotton and sourced from ‘Liberty Art Fabrics of London’.
