Gap and Motherland Event Prize Draw Terms and Conditions (the “Promotion”)

GPS (Great Britain) Ltd t/a Gap, Berkeley Square House, Berkeley Square, London, W1J 6BS and Motherland Associates Ltd, 7 Torriano Mews London NW5 2RZ (together the “Promoter”)


  1. Entry into this Promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  1. The Promotion is open to UK residents aged 18 and over that are parents or guardians of a child aged 10 or under, except employees of the Promoter, their families, their agents, or anyone professionally connected with the Promotion.
  1. To enter (i) follow @UKGap and @Motherlandnet; and (ii) repost the photograph posted by @UKGap or @Motherlandnet on Instagram with the hashtag #GapXMotherland at 10am on 18 April 2016 between 10am on 18 April 2016 to 11.59pm on 2 May 2016 (“Entry Period”):
  1. Entrants must have a valid Instagram account in order to enter.
  1. Only one entry per person will be accepted.  Any entries made by a person found to be using multiple Instagram accounts to enter the Promotion; or any person found to be sending multiple entries during any Period will be disqualified.
  1. The Promoter reserves the right not to accept entries from any entrant who fails to satisfy the entry criteria set out above and/or who it perceives to be unsuitable to enter the Promotion for any reason.
  1. If for any reason a technical interruption, fault or site failure occurs, the Promoter does not take any responsibility for incomplete entries or entries that are not received for any reason.
  1. Entrants must adhere to the terms and conditions of use as set out by Instagram.

Winner Selection and Prize Process

  1. Five winners will be selected at random from all valid entries in the Entry Period. The Promotor’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  1. Each winner will receive a direct message using their ‘@username’ from @UKgap via Instagram on 3 May 2016.
  1. To claim the Prize (as defined below) the winner will need to reply ‘YES’ to the direct message within 24 hours of receiving it. The Promoter will request any information deemed necessary to verify the winner.  The winner will be deemed to have forfeited the Prize if:
  • The winner does not respond within 24 hours of receiving the direct message; or
  • The winner is found to be ineligible or otherwise not in compliance with these terms and conditions; or
  • The winner responds ‘NO’ to the direct message.
  1. On replying ‘YES’ in response to the direct message within 24 hours of receipt, the winner will win:
  • 2 tickets to the Gap x Motherland event on 14 May 2016 at the Promotor’s flagship store located at 376/384 Oxford Street, London (one ticket is for the child aged 10 or under and one for the winner, their parent or guardian);
  • A gift bag;
  • Breakfast at the event;
  • The opportunity for the child to participate in activities at the event; and
  • £25 Gap gift card (terms and conditions of the gift card apply).

(together the “Prize”).

  1. The winner’s child (aged 10 or under) must be available to attend the event with the winner to obtain the Prize. Proof of age of the child may be requested on entry to the event. The winner will not be admitted to the event or be entitled to any element of the Prize without their child present at the event.
  1. The Prize is non-transferable, non-negotiable or refundable and no cash alternative will be offered. The Prize excludes any other costs associated with entering the prize draw or taking the prize (including without limitation travel to the flagship store) which would be at the sole cost of the winner.
  1. The parent or guardian must supervise their child at all times during the event and is responsible for the safety of their child.


  1. Entrants consent to the processing of their personal data by the Promoter for the purposes and administration of the Promotion. Such data will be processed in accordance with GPS (Great Britain) Ltd’s Privacy Policy.
  1. Any information required to participate is provided by the entrant to the Promoter and will not be shared with Instagram.
  1. The Promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram and the entrant acknowledges that Instagram does not accept any liability whatsoever for any damages which may be incurred as a result of participation in the Promotion.
  1. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or postpone this Promotion without liability upon the occurrence of events or circumstances beyond its control.
  1. The name and county of the winners will be made available on request for 30 days from 3 May 2016 by contacting social@gap.com.
  1. These terms and conditions are governed by English Law and are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
