One of the joys of running an online magazine is that you get to meet so many brilliant, smart people, doing brilliant, smart things. One of the other joys is being introduced to so much lovely STUFF… So, combining our love of culture, design and ideas – showcasing a selection of our favourite designers and makers, and some of the things that make us happy – we were inspired to launch an online shop, shipping across the world.

Opening today, The Motherland Store brings together some of the best products from around the world, along with some exclusive collaborations of our own… After months of secret meetings and late night coffee-necking, we are overjoyed to introduce a series of our collaborative products with Queen of Textiles Donna Wilson, artist extraordinaire Jamie Julien Brown, Scandi childrenswear masters Polarn O Pyret, and brilliant boutique label Duvet Days

Hopefully you’ll find plenty of lovely things that look pretty, make you (and the small people in your life) smarter, and raise a smile on an otherwise grey day.

To celebrate, we’re offering our readers a 10% discount, valid for the next two weeks. Simply pop the code MUMSTHEWORD in the box at the checkout and Bob’s your uncle!

We will be running a series of interviews with some of the characters behind our favourite pieces from the store, as well as adding new lines and special offers as the weeks and months roll on… So please sign up to our newsletter for updates.

Thanks so much for all your support over the past year – we hope you enjoy the next stage as much as we intend to! As always, we want to hear from you so if you have any feedback – good, bad or ugly – please do get in touch at hello@motherland.net
