This coming Monday, 18 January 2016, is officially the most depressing day of the year. While we appreciate a healthy dose of cynicism, and know all too well how challenging parenthood can be, we don’t believe it’s all doom and gloom. With reports of a rise in depression and low-level sadness sweeping through the media, we want to know what makes you smile. Because sometimes life seems better when you simply shift your perspective.

With this in mind, we’re asking you to share with us your happy thoughts, to help create a big shiny, grossly-uplifting compendium of positivity. Channel your inner Ned Flanders and share a pic/memory/idea/quote/whatever on our Instagram or Facebook page…

To take part, here’s what to do:

Instagram:

Take a pic of whatever image/quote/memory/whatever thing helps you channel positive vibes, and tag us @motherlandnet and use the hashtag #‎motherlandhappinessproject‬

Facebook:

Head to our Facebook page, and add your own thoughts/image on our page, or as a comment on our Happiness Project post, with the hashtag #‎motherlandhappinessproject‬

We’ll be showcasing our findings online next week. Because by exploring what makes us feel good, and focusing on the positives, we think good things could happen… Thanks for bringing the love x
