Having spent the Summer touring the Thames, the Puppet Barge Theatre is back in Central London and ready for the new season. Moored at Little Venice, a stone’s throw from Marble Arch, this magical, intimate marionette theatre – which is set inside a beautiful barge – is gearing up for the half-term. From 27 October to 1 November, the puppets will be telling the tale of ‘The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse’, a story beloved by the smallies amongst us. But if you want to go all high-brow, they’ll also be doing six performances of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight – a 14th Century work, as you well know – from 11 October. Music, poetry, and the sound of water lapping against the side of a boat – what more could we ask?
Tickets – children £8.50, seniors £10, adults £12
